Review IndustriesA complete Ashcroft inquiry does not need to be long, but it should name the facts that affect suitability. For a pressure gauge, note the normal range, maximum pressure, process connection, temperature, media and whether pulsation or vibration is present. For a pressure transmitter, add output signal, power supply, enclosure rating, reference accuracy and whether HART communication is expected. For gas monitoring or hazardous-area instrumentation, identify the area classification and any required Ex marking rather than asking for a generally safe product.
When calibration is part of the request, include the current interval, acceptance tolerance, any previous as-found issues and whether an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited report is required.
